The primary responsibility of the TS Implementation Engineer (L2) is to ensure that client solution requirements are resolved in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA). They perform configurations, action installations and attend to break/fix events.

Expected Job Description:
Presales Activities
- Gather customer’s requirements for new server opportunity
- Make a proposal of Private Cloud and/or Hybrid Cloud
- Make a BOM and get cost information from distributors
- Calculate total cost of the solution

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Own larger portions of an installation, break/fix incidents at a low to medium level of complexity.
- Take responsibility for problem resolution and troubleshooting.
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant third parties.
- Assist with the documentation of standard operating procedures relating to installations and fixes.
- Compile and maintain project administration.
- Conduct elementary presentations within the customer's organization.
- May be required to perform periodic telephonic duty on the technical service desk, providing second line telephonic support to customers.
- Expected to take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization.

**Academic Qualifications and Certifications**:

- Computer Science / Information Technology Degree or equivalent together with specialised training in new technologies and legacy systems or equivalent

**1. Experiences of design and implementation of on-prem server virtualization platform**

1.1 Deep knowledge of the following technologies;
1.1.1 VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V architecture

1.1.1.1 Host Cluster (vSphere HA, MSFC)

1.1.1.2 VM Replication (vSphere Replication, Hyper-V replica)

1.1.1.3 vSwitch (VLAN tagging, LACP, etc)

1.1.1.4 Traffic segregation among management, VM, replication, storage and live migration

1.1.1.5 Disaster recovery (Site Recovery Manager, etc)

1.1.2 SAN storage

1.1.2.1 SAN protocols (Fibre Channel and iSCSI)

1.1.2.2 Storage structure (HDD/SSD, RAID, Storage Pool, LUN, SP, etc)

1.1.2.3 Access Control (LUN masking, Fibre Channel zoning, etc)

1.1.2.4 Multipath IO (Path Selection Policy, ALUA, etc)

1.1.2.5 Performance optimization (Flash read cache, Auto Tiering, etc)

1.1.2.6 Array-based replication

1.1.3 Backup

1.1.3.1 In-guest agent backup

1.1.3.2 On-host VM (agent-less) backup

1.1.3.3 Off-host backup proxy

1.2 Basic knowledge of the following technologies;
1.2.1 Top-Of-Rack switch

1.2.1.1 Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (Nexus vPO, Cisco Stack-wise, etc)

1.2.1.1 VLAN trunk

1.2.2 Windows Server

1.2.2.1 Active Directory (Domain Controller)

1.3 Deep understanding of server migration

1.3.1 Server migration from on-prem server to VMware/Hyper-V VM.

**2. **Experiences of Public Cloud**

2.1 Deep understanding of the following technologies;
2.1.1 VM services of AWS, Azure and/or GCP (Amazon EC2, etc)

2.1.2 Storage services of AWS, Azure and/or GCP (Amazon EBS, etc)

2.1.3 Network services of AWS, Azure and/or GCP (Amazon VPC, etc)

2.1.4 Private connection service of AWS, Azure and/or GCP (Amazon Direct Connect, etc)

2.1.5 BGP routing to build redundant path across Private connection and IPsec

2.1.6 Security best practices (Account management, Permission control, FW policy, etc)

2.2 Deep understanding of cloud migration

2.2.1 Server migration from on-prem server to cloud VM

2.3 Deep understanding of software licensing

2.3.1 License limitation applied to VMs running on Cloud (Windows Server, SQL Server, Oracle, etc)

**3. **Documentations skill**
- Good documentation skill to describe system design concept and architecture. (Just parameter sheet is not enough)
