We are looking for a high calibre legal professional to work in our Legal Team for PT Allianz Global Investors Asset Management as Legal Counsel.

This role is based in Jakarta.

What you will do
  • Review funds related documentation including offering documents and marketing materials, and provide legal advice and assistance on registration of funds throughout the region.
  • Advise on legal and regulatory issues in connection with mandates from institutional clients.
  • Draft, review and negotiate investment management agreements and investment advisory agreements in relation to mandates and funds set up by companies within the Allianz Global Investors group and managed or advised by PT Allianz Global Investors Asset Management Indonesia ("Company").
  • Advise on legal issues in connection with the distribution and marketing of funds; draft, review and negotiate distribution related agreements with business partners in Indonesia.
  • Assist with projects involving the Company and/or global mutual fund platforms of the Allianz Global Investors group.
  • Assist in the maintenance of regulatory guidelines for sales and marketing conduct in Indonesia.
  • Review, draft and negotiate other agreements and provide legal advice in connection with all aspects of the business activities of the Allianz Global Investors group in Indonesia.
  • Manage and maintain intercompany agreements between Allianz Global Investors companies and other members of the Allianz group that involve the Company.
  • Coordinate and liaise with legal as well as business counterparts of group companies in other regions to facilitate review and set up of global service agreements or roll out group initiatives, and provide support and advice from Indonesia's perspective.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of templates, regional regulatory reference documents and precedents to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal Department in Indonesia.
  • Provide other ad hoc legal support to the Legal team and to various business teams with Allianz Global Investors.
What you bring
  • A University degree in Law from a reputable university.
  • 6-8 years relevant experience.
  • Admission in Indonesia bar is required.
  • Excellent Bahasa and English language skills (spoken and written).
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Good inter-personal communication skills.
  • Mature, independent and proven ability to work on a cross-jurisdictional basis.
  • Team player.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and achieve.
  • Commercially-focused, and a problem solver.
  • Able to manage time well and juggle competing priorities.
