Position Overview

Based in Jakarta managing team across Jakarta Megacity area, we are currently seeking an:

Area Sales Manager

(Jakarta Megacity)

Reporting directly to National Sales Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for leading, developing, and promoting teams in managing sales activities in the area in order to achieve Sales Budget, Brand Recognition, and Customers Satisfaction; show leadership, coach, supervise and support sales people and distributors in meeting individual and area target while managing overall sales strategy in his/her area; and manage strategy and sound execution of various partnership with stakeholders (customers, distributors, cross-function cooperation).

Key Accountabilities

  1. Sales Leadership
  • Workforce planning and people management
  • Train/Coach and motivate Sales Team to achieve targets; support continuous development of product knowledge, sales skills, sales strategy, forecast, and customer services.
  • Support team in understanding and continuously improving on their KPI's to improve overall performance and managing various activity reports.
  • Managing partnership with distributors, including continous review, analysis, and coordination on strategy and execution, improvements needed to achieve results.
  1. Plan, Execute, and Organize Sales and Marketing activities
  • Plan and manage sales activities including demonstrations, seminars, concept promotions, ideas about application for our products.
  • Engage with customers to leverage company's portfolio with product development ideas or product innovation needs.
  • Develop an Annual Business Plan based on market assessment to accelerate business growth in the area.
  1. Plan and execute Sales Strategy tailored to each customer category
  • Set up priority of focus products.
  • Coordinate new product development, launch (internal & external) and follow up
  1. Close coordination with internal cross-function teams: Technical Team, Product Development and Customers Sales to ensure smooth collaboration in achieving target.
  2. Analyze, adjust, and design suitable strategy based on market information regarding market trends, competitor activity, and the need for development of new and existing products.

Profile

  • Bachelor degree with at least 8-year work experience including 3-year experience as Area Sales Supervisor/Manager in leading team of Sales and Marketing also Distributor, preferably from Food or FMCG industry.
  • Sound experience in directly manage Jakarta Megacity area and its business profile.
  • Proven record in people management, leading team, providing coaching, developing talent, and building a high-performance team.
  • Experience in managing various business target, budget, and portfolio to grow business in the area.
  • Experience in handling and managing (multiple) distributor strategy is a plus.
  • Cultural awareness and experience of diversity management.
  • Proficient business level of English.
