The Head of Platforms & Data leads the team responsible for providing data and technology platforms used by delivery teams and developers across the business. The goal is to ensure teams have reliable data, platform services, standards, and training so it can deliver digital products quickly and effectively. Own the enterprise data platform and shared engineering services, ensuring they have clear ownership, priorities, support processes, and training to drive adoption. Provide reliable, self-service data and platform services that enable delivery teams and citizen developers to build and deploy solutions independently. Continuously improve the platform to help teams deliver faster, reduce complexity, and lower the overall cost of delivery. Enable delivery teams and citizen developers to create solutions using reusable components, prioritizing hyperscaler and existing enterprise platform services before developing new ones. The platform team is responsible for building and maintaining these shared components. Partner with the Enterprise Architect to define the target technology landscape, integration standards, and platform guidelines. Manage relationships with cloud providers and platform vendors, while working with the TMO to oversee commercial and contractual arrangements. Ensure enterprise data is accurate, reliable, and well managed, while data ownership and governance remain with the relevant data custodians and domain stewards. Provide self-service data tools and clear guidelines that enable delivery teams and citizen developers to access and use data safely and effectively. Establish clear data standards, interfaces, and service expectations so teams can confidently understand and consume the data products available to them. others Role

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred Minimum 10 years in data and platform engineering, including leading platform or data teams and running cloud platforms at scale. Proven experience building and leading shared platforms and data products. Experience in mining, processing, energy, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries is advantageous; however, proven leadership in platform and data functions is the key requirement.
