Role Description The SOC Analyst L1 is a full-time role based in Bandung with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. This role involves monitoring security alerts and events in the Security Operations Center, performing initial triage, and escalating incidents according to defined procedures. The analyst will review logs from various security tools, identify potential threats, and document findings in tickets and reports. Daily responsibilities include supporting cyber threat hunting activities, collaborating with senior analysts on incident investigations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of common attack techniques. The SOC Analyst L1 will also contribute to continuous improvement of SOC processes, playbooks, and detection use cases, while communicating clearly with internal stakeholders. Qualifications
• Experience or foundational knowledge in Security Operations Center environments and general Cybersecurity concepts.
• Exposure to Cyber Threat Hunting (CTH) and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), with the ability to support investigations and basic threat analysis.
• Strong Analytical Skills, including log analysis, pattern recognition, and systematic problem-solving.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint security tools, and network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Understanding of common attack vectors, malware types, and incident response principles.
• Relevant certifications or coursework (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, ECIH, CySA+, or equivalent) are beneficial.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Bandung, manage time effectively, and follow structured procedures and playbooks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian, with attention to accuracy in documentation.
