Security Specialist

**Position Summary**:

- MAG Aerospace is recruiting multiple Security Specialists who will support U.S. Marine Corps commands, assisting Government team in management and administration to include reviewing, assessing, and implementing: physical security, personnel security, information security, industrial security, cybersecurity, security education and training awareness, and operational security (OPSEC) plans, policy, and procedures. Provide security guidance to military, government civilian, and contractor personnel performing security duties. Place of performance for these positions is Hawaii.***Contingent Upon Contract Award**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Duties include, but not limited to**:

- Provide security administration and management for U.S. Marine Corps SAPCO command/site functions
- Process paperwork and manage Personnel Access Requests (PAR) for SAP and SCI access
- Manage security clearance process to include clearance actions, review, and continuous evaluation process
- Assist Government SSO with security processes and procedures
- Prepare visit certifications and obtain approvals for command/site personnel
- Process base access requests utilizing designated Government system
- Safeguard classified information and conduct classified document destruction
- Create site-specific OPSEC plan for Government approval and update as required
- Develops and maintains relationships, with customers, security managers, and co-workers
- Assists in development, maintenance, and execution of standard operating procedures, and ensures all are in alignment with operations

**Requirements**:
**Minimum Requirements**
- Knowledgeable of OPSEC, personnel, industrial, physical, and information security principles
- Possess a working knowledge of Government and Industrial Security regulations and clearances
- Possess experience with processing visit certifications utilizing databases such as Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles, Visit Authorization System, and approved manual records system
- Possess experience with maintaining security holding
- Must have solid knowledge/operation of MS Office software
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and process information and requests from external and internal personnel.
- Attention to detail and deadlines as well as strong critical thinking skills
- The minimum years of related experience required: one (1) year experience in SAP or SCI environment

**Education**
- The minimum level of education required is: Bachelor degree in relevant field or Associate degree with five (5) years experience.
- Completion of following Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Center for Development of Security Excellence courses:

- Insider Threat Awareness
- Security Specialist
- Personnel Security
- E-Qip web-based training
- SAP Refresher
- SCI Refresher
- Identifying and Safeguard PII
- Cybersecurity Awareness
- Preparation of DD-254

**Clearance**
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance and ability to upgrade and maintain SCI access.
