Associate Specialist, Materials Planning

**The Position**

The Materials Planning is responsible for procuring starting materials and ensuring their availability based on production planning and production scheduling itself.

**Responsibilities**:

- Procure starting materials and ensure their availability according to the production plan.
- Evaluate and replenish recommended packaging components (both printed and non-printed) as required.
- Create and manage the weekly production plan and schedule.
- Track supplier deliveries to ensure material availability for production, consistent with inventory levels, and minimize component discards (write-offs).
- Interact with internal and external suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
- Review material requirements in SAP, reschedule in/out, and manage artwork changes.
- Provide data to identify and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities.
- Interact with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) as required.- Perform inventory analysis and provide input on potential discard and availability of materials to support production planning and optimize operational costs/efficiencies.
- Monitor and ensure timely reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as IQV, OTIF, and BI.
- Liaise with suppliers on material revisions, including updating master data in SAP.
- Support regular team communication and provide continuous feedback.
- Maintain technical skills and knowledge up to date and promote a culture of continuous learning.
- Ensure the accuracy of the SAP database by consistently spotting and correcting errors and updating information.

**Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business studies, economics, or industrial engineering.
- Preferably 2 years of experience in production planning and material management.
- Fresh graduates with excellent knowledge of supply chain management are also acceptable.
- Ability to learn from routine work assignments to develop professional skills at an entry level.
- Effective communication skills, including asking questions and checking for understanding.
- Accountability for technical contributions to project teams or sub-teams.
- Ability to work within established procedures, technologies, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for day-to-day communication.
