Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of **Vice President Wholesale Credit Approval.**

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to Wholesale Credit Approval 'WCA' 2 Team Lead. This role has primary responsibility of credit risk management in area (s) assigned to him/her, including credit review, recommendation and approval of Good Bank credit proposals from Financial Institution, Multinational and International Subsidiary Banking segments.

Operating in a highly competitive and challenging wholesale banking sector, job holder is responsible, from risk management perspective, for managing portfolio quality, to provide risk specific training and coaching to front-line staff, to provide Subject Matter Expert view in regard to development of policies, products and credit process as well as to enhance risk adjusted return in pursuit of HSBC Indonesia's strategy / the Bank's own quality growth plans.

Also acting as Approver for credit proposal within the Individual Approval authority limit or as Recommender if beyond. WCA also provides guidance on risk appetite and very often arrange the loan structure.

Maintain close relationship with Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) and Special Credit Unit (SCU), both under Risk Directorate to, from time to time, ensure an acceptable level of credit quality. Actively participate in managing watch list (WWM) accounts through participation in periodic WWM meeting and upon annual review, WCA can provide feedback on early warning signs identification and recommend the related accounts to be included in WWM accounts.
Qualifications

**To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements**:

- Has good knowledge of the Group's businesses, particularly Wholesale Banking. Specialties in credit background for Banks & NBFI and corporate will be main core.
- Minimum 7 years - 10 years of line experience at executive level in Wholesale Banking, preferably in Indonesia, preparing and recommending credit proposals and analyzing risks inherent in lending.
- Having solid understanding on financial statement analysis and financial products.
- High degree of analytical skills on both individual credits and from a portfolio basis.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Good communication and negotiation skill.
- Has ability to work with challenging and dynamic environment to ensure the objectives are delivered.
