Head of Finance Indonesia

**Role Summary**:
The Head of Finance is responsible to:

- Deliver timely and accurate financial, regulatory, tax and management reporting for Finance
- Manage transparent engagement with local regulators, tax office, auditors and country management to foster effective and collaborative relationships
- Engage and partner the business to evaluate new products, analyze business performance and provide timely advice on change in regulatory, tax or accounting requirements
- Develop and execute on people agenda in the location to promote people development and foster strong engagement and recognition
- Foster a control mindset and speak-up culture in the team to ensure proactive identification and remediation of control issues
- Drive sustainable efficiency through automation, continuous improvement and offshoring /outsourcing

The Head of Finance represents the Finance function in all local governance forums in the location and faces off all internal and external stakeholders.

**Responsibilities and **Accountabilities**:
**Operational**:Being responsible for and overseeing the following
- Validation and control of Head Office reporting under IFRS and HGB and local reporting (Production of Head Office Reports and General Ledger processes has been off-shored).
- Review and analysis of financial / management reports and provide relevant MIS to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Monitor the Bank’s key financial ratios and ensure relevant limits are being adhered to and proper escalation procedures are initiated in case of breach. Where relevant, providing internal information / calculations to aid in monitoring of such limits.
- Ensure compliance with local and DB Group regulatory and internal reporting requirements and manage regulatory and tax relationships from a Finance perspective in partnership with Country Management and Compliance/Group Tax.
- Drive cost management discussions in the location by providing transparency and challenge on cost
- Act as a change agent for Finance and drives process and control improvement and automation in the team.

**Advisory**:Being responsible for and driving the following
- Advise the CCO and businesses regularly on all regulatory, tax and other issues that impact the entity/ businesses.
- Support the roll out of new products/variation to existing products by advising on regulatory, tax and related accounting issues.
- Analyse and provide regular insights on business performance
- Support the businesses in budgeting and planning process.

**Regulatory Compliance**:Being responsible for and overseeing the following
- Comply with local statutory/regulatory requirements including submission of regular & ad-hoc financial, regulatory and tax reports.
- Liaise with local regulators, tax office, auditors in partnership with Compliance, Group Tax and regional teams respectively to ensure proper interpretation and compliance with all local requirements.
- Ensure internal controls are in place to ensure effective compliance with the Bank’s obligations and the controls are in conformity with DB Group and local standards

**People Management**:

- Investing time to lead, coach, develop and train the Finance team to be a high performing team
- Driving a speak-up culture, active feedback, collaboration and accountability in Finance and the local franchise
- Developing a solution focused, client centric and sustainable performance mindset in the team
- Supports difficult people decisions to ensure people agenda is aligned with organisation needs and performance issues are addressed

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance with strong leadership and communication skill
- Extensive work experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry including experience in the Finance function
- Strong knowledge of financial products and banking processes, including a good knowledge of Indonesia financial reporting, regulatory reporting and tax requirements
- Experienced in managing relationships with local regulators, tax authorities and similar stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- Prior work experience in an audit firm and h ands-on experience with software such as SAP R/3, Axiom, Business Objects a plus
- Professional account qualification is a plus
- eg. ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
