Senior Process Engineer

PT. INEOS Aromatics Indonesia is hiring

**Purpose of the role**

Developing process optimization programs or de-bottlenecking studies to optimize plant profits, operability and efficiency of ISBL unit (oxidation unit or purification unit) and OSBL unit (utility & waste water treatment facility) within process engineering scope in line with company vision, mission and policy.

The job holder will also provide process engineering assurance and assistance to Operations, Maintenance, Logistic and EHSS team.

**Key Results/Accountabilities expected from the role**:
Safety and EHS Management

Managing process hazard identification session (such as HAZOP, LOPA, etc) for small project. Ensuring the identification of potential hazards existing in the work environment, starting from investigating accidents or giving feedback (including process safety issue if required by superior) on the implementation of SHE policy up to the recommendation and guidelines on SHE implementation and also SOC (safety observation and conversation) in the context of compliance with the safety regulations and company policies. Ensuring the implementation of SHE management policy, starting from the availability of documentation on SHE procedures up to the course of the process of SHE management changes in the context of compliance with the safety regulations and company policies that related to process engineering.

Optimize Existing Facilities

Analyse equipment/unit operation performance to identify areas of potential cost reduction, efficiency, yield and safety improvement.

Plant Improvement and Project

Having Initiative and deploy improvement from Technology team, other INEOS sites, and vendor. Manage the implementation of the FEL Study and the determination of conceptual design, economic analysis, process development, support project execution in process engineering scope, commissioning, and post project evaluation in order to increase capacity and production efficiency, cost reduction and SHE compliance or improvement.

Plant troubleshooting

Having initiative and partners with all plant, particularly Plant Operations, EHS and other department personnel, in providing technical assistance to effectively and efficiently solving problems.

Self-Development and sharing knowledge to other

Self-Develop within his/her scope: set targets and work objectives, monitor achievement, improve competency based on identify and propose competency development needs in order to improve his/her productivity and ethical behavior. Share knowledge to other, such as to colleague (engineers and other professional level) and shift group members.

Reporting

Summarize and report of process engineering matter or activities within an equipment, a system, or/and a process unit in order to meet company business targets.

Quality

Monitor and has initiative to improve product and process quality in order to reduce off specs and re-process cost.

Development Identification

Analyse equipment/unit operation performance to identify areas of potential cost reduction, efficiency, yield and safety improvement. Manage the identification and availability of needs improvement or development that aims to profit improvement as well as changes in technology in order to Improve plant performance by variable cost reduction, production efficiency, and SHE compliance.

- Priority and drive to get things done: Prioritize and schedule work based on comprehensive understanding of risk level at site; strong drive to get thing done to coordinate and optimize utilize resources to handle issues in priority (high risk high priority, high cost high priority), safety and efficiently manner.
- Be alert in finding the opportunity to continuously improve the plant and its manufacturing cost.

- Planning annual self-improvement plan.
- Involved in quality task force and support marketing to solve customer technical issue in relation with PTA quality by case per case basis.
- Broad network with other team, department, and functions, e.g., Production, Maintenance, Marketing, PSCM, SHE.
- Typically to support Technical Superintendent in planning the annual target and prioritize key activities in a yearly basis
- Feeding input to Technical Superintendent in planning Technology contract with R&T.
- Feeding input to Technical Superintendent for supporting Project Superintendent in planning annual Capex budget within the process engineering scope.

**Experience & Expertise**

Educational background: minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering

**Experience**:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in proce
