Environmental Engineer

**What will you do**:

- Supporting Project Managers in the preparation for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental and
- Social Impact Assessment (ESIA). Provide guidance on environmental matters, including E&S regulations and requirements during the process to Clients and/or Lenders.
- Provide insight on Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), sustainability reporting, and greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory.
- Lead the environmental study and due diligence, not limited to water and maritime structures but also possibly light industry structures (including renewable energy infrastructures).
- Participate in a short mission to the site (not limited to remote areas)
- Prepare project concepts and project report deliverables. Ensure all relevant documents to support the Project activity are aligned and completed.
- Contribute to project activities and deliver the associated project deliverables for all phases of a project and meeting the client’s and other internal and external stakeholders’ needs and expectations.
- Contribute to business development by providing strategic advice on environmental and social issues to existing and potential clients, including the preparation of marketing material.
- Work effectively with the processes, tools, and resources of Royal HaskoningDHV, both locally in Indonesia and globally, including being proactive in sharing knowledge, continuously improving processes, creating innovations, and relentlessly striving for technical excellence.

**Where you will work**:
You will work based in our Jakarta Head Office.

**What you bring**:

- BSc in Environmental Engineering with minimum experience of 5 years in consulting services
- Holding a master’s degree in the environmental related field is a plus
- Experience in preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) for water and maritime-related projects
- Experience in undertaking Environmental Due Diligence for water and maritime-related projects
- Deep understanding of the regulations of E&S in the Indonesia region and a general understanding of the international E&S standards and guidelines
- Being familiar with greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory national and international protocols is a plus
- Have the ability to work on multi-projects and work effectively in a multi-functional project team.
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Fluent in both English and Indonesian.
- Able to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work.
- Adaptable and flexible across various projects and clients, including site visit activity (short-term mission, not limited to remote areas).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Indonesian
- Team player; able to work and maintain a good working relationship with the project team
- Independent thinker and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational skills
