Mep Engineer

This position is responsible for overseeing the entirety of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems throughout various construction projects. The role involves meticulous planning, supervision, and maintenance of these systems during project execution. The MEP Engineer ensures that all technical aspects conform to industry standards and project specifications, conducting comprehensive inspections and overseeing testing and commissioning processes. By providing strategic solutions to engineering challenges, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the seamless operation and compliance of MEP systems, aligning with stringent quality and safety standards.

The work of assignment for this role will be in Dili, East Timor.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in project development.
- Manage MEP contractors and evaluate team performance.
- Plan downtime for systems to minimize productivity loss.
- Review technical documents, design drawings, and construction reports.
- Provide technical input and execute engineering stages for projects.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee testing for compliance.
- Supervise testing, commissioning, and quality control adherence.
- Resolve engineering queries and support operational requests.
- Mitigate clashes in services and advise on technical aspects affecting progress.
- Lead incident investigations and implement operating procedures.
- Report work-related incidents promptly.
- Undertake additional duties assigned by management.

**Qualifications to be successful in the role**:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an MEP Engineer or equivalent role.
- Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in mathematics.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and building services.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans, prints, specifications, and schematics.
- Computer literacy, especially in handling technical documents and software.
