Job Description

**Summary**

Avanade is seeking to hire a Client Solutions Consultant for Security to lead the pre-sales and go-to-market strategy for Microsoft security solutions. The mission is to accelerate adoption of the entire Microsoft security portfolio as an enabler of customer business outcomes, protecting with M365 Defender, strengthening identity with Entra ID, securing Azure workloads, safeguarding data and AI with Purview and related guardrails, and scaling SOC services based on Microsoft Sentinel. This role acts as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborating closely with Avanade sales and delivery teams and Microsoft sellers to align our offers and proposals with real business and cybersecurity challenges.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Strategy and Go-to-Market**
- Define and execute the commercial engagement strategy for Avanade security offerings in coordination with regional leadership and Microsoft.
- Design security value propositions and drive repeatable offerings (assessments, blueprints, accelerators, estimators) that demonstrate ROI and time-to-value.
- Launch joint campaigns with Microsoft and other strategic partners, ensuring alignment with security priorities (Zero Trust, XDR, SIEM/SOAR, identity, AI security).

**Client and Partner Relations**
- Engage with executives such as CISO, CIO, CTO, and risk/compliance leaders, identifying pain points and orchestrating Avanade’s response.
- Lead executive and technical workshops (Zero Trust, threat protection, identity, SecOps) and co-innovation sessions.
- Represent Avanade at industry events, forums, and security communities as a market reference.

**Commercial Support and Pre-Sales**
- Collaborate closely with sales and service delivery teams to help build high-impact proposals, optimizing client investment.
- Participate in the creation of commercial proposals, including helping drive effort estimation and team definition to ensuring solutions fit client needs and maximize investment value.
- Proactively support pre-sales processes, demonstrations, and client workshops.
- Drive the adoption of Microsoft security solutions among new and existing clients, advising on configuration, deployment, and operation, and demonstrating hands-on expertise with these technologies.
- Collaborate across sales and solution architecture teams to ensure security is embedded across customer projects.

Qualification

**Skills & Experiences**
- Proven experience in pre-sales, consulting, or commercial leadership roles in infrastructure/security solutions, with deep knowledge of security architectures, solutions, and technologies.
- Experience creating tailored commercial proposals, including in supporting estimations and team definitions.
- Strong client orientation with sensitivity to understand challenges and propose suitable solutions.
- Excellent communication, influence, and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated active and practical involvement with Microsoft technologies, not limited to theoretical knowledge or high-level supervision.
- Experience working with M365 E5 security solutions (i.e. Defender, Purview, Entra), Sentinel and knowledge of the broader Microsoft portfolio.
- Certifications in M365 security products and industry security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC) leadership are valued.
- Hands-on experience in the Microsoft environment, including troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing security components in production environments, is valued.
