Product Design Lead

**About the Role**
- You will work with other designers and cross-functional team members and will rely heavily on both qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions.
- You will also be able to take care of more than one product/project to ensure you’re always challenged and developed. As a leader in the payment industry, we are constantly revitalizing our product lineup and innovating.

As an independent product designer, you’ll work closely with the product manager, engineers, writer, researcher, and business team with minimum guidance from the design lead/manager. You’ll provide the user’s point of view to the discussions and collaborate with the rest of the product team to ensure that users will have the best solution to the issue at hand.

**What Will You Do**:

- Develop the information architecture (IA) and the strategy
- Collaborate closely with content strategist/UX Writer, engineers, product, operation, and business to develop the IA and the approach/strategy.
- Own multiple streams/pods or projects assigned with less supervision.
- Define, estimate and manage design project tasks using a project management platform and consistently track the progress in a timely manner.
- Share your work regularly within an internal design team, product/engineering team, and regular design review.
- Participate actively in the hiring process and mentor junior designers to help them through their day-to-day work, and provide guidance on design craft and core skills.

**What Will You Need**:

- At least have 3 years of experience in product design roles.
- Able to understand the product briefs (problem space) and able to communicate/present/explain ideas and solutions to the stakeholders and teams with less supervision from the manager or project lead.
- Works closely with other functions (research, data, product, business) to influence strategy with less supervision.
- Contributes to stream-level OKR planning together with the manager or project lead.
- Ability to dive into users’ pain points and validate the hypothesis through usability testing or any other type of research.
- Understand the concept of a design language system and how to strategically use it as an advantage to the design process.
