As the Associate Manager, Project Engineering, you are responsible for SC Johnson (SCJ) Pulo Gadung site engineering activity, drive all capital projects and lead early management implementation in the plant. You will be part of the Site Steering Committee and provide engineering support to Plant Maintenance, Safety, Health and Environment (SHE), Quality Improvement as well as Production.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage daily engineering department activities and communicate with regional Engineering to design new processes, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures
- Drive capability building of Engineering and Maintenance teams by supporting Maintenance teams in problem solving, analyzing line losses, line breakdown
- Drive the development and implementation of Engineering Best Practices in the plant, provide coaching and training cross functional knowledge transfer to enhance skills and capabilities across the site
- Provide project management and engineering support activities for the plant which include base business, global pool projects
- Responsible for plant capital management, develop and maintain a master schedule for all assigned capital engineering projects and inform management and project sponsors on the status of project milestones and any corrective action to be recommended or taken
- Oversee overall project expenditures for all assigned capital engineering projects to ensure spending is within of approved project budgets
- Support, investigate, drive, and provide technical leadership in implementing cost saving projects, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Improvements and LEAN to existing processes and support systems in the region
- Prepare detailed capital budget forecasts for safety, productivity, and quality driven projects and work directly with Plant Manager and regional hub Engineering leader for roll-up into Cor-plan
- Provide engineering support activities for manufacturing facilities, which include major Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) projects, equipment upgrades, facility expansion and/or upgrades, major equipment and system purchases, installation, commissioning, and startup
- Support regional engineering standardization for Global Engineering as related to projects and processes to provide common tools for estimating, project documentation, and equipment evaluation to improve speed to market on new products

**Required Skills / Experience / Competencies**:

- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or any related fields
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the Engineering or equipment maintenance functions, with minimum 3 years of project managements experience
- Experience in Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) operation
