Junior Geotechnical Engineer

**Vacancy Intro**:
PT. Haskoning Indonesia has a long-term establishment in Jakarta with various disciplines in place. Currently, the Maritime & Waterways business line within Haskoning Indonesia is planning to expand its activities and is therefore looking for competent Junior Geotechnical Engineers preferable with experience with port related projects. Our projects will be related to jetties, quay walls, dredging and reclamation, inland water transport, port planning, breakwaters, etc. from feasibility study up to detailed design phases. The individual will closely work together with the Project Managers and other engineer in SEA region, UK and NL.

**What will you do**:
Typical duties will include but not be limited to the following:

- Engineering calculations.
- Engineering plans, design, and layout.
- Project specifications.
- Engineering portion of project proposals.
- Engineering portion of project cost estimates.
- Site visit/inspection/supervision
- Reporting

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Carry out geotechnical studies to deliver the outcomes to the programme and budget agreed.
- To provide geotechnical advice for the other schemes and design and construction activities.
- To prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for geotechnical schemes
- To ensure designs are appropriate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence
- Perform design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.
- Attend and participate in Client and Haskoning meetings whenever required.
- Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area.
- Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents.
- Capable and experienced in working on a fast and high paced project environment.
- Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.

**What you bring**:

- Holding minimum bachelor's in civil or Geodetic or Geological engineering, preferably master's degree from reputable University.
- 3 years of working experience and preferable who has involved in maritime projects.
- Computer literate, familiar with geotechnical software (PLAXIS, Geodeft, etc)
- Good knowledge in standards and codes (SNI and International codes)
- Able to use AutoCAD
- Good level of English skills (oral and written)
- Willing to travel through Indonesia and neighbouring countries (if required)
- Able to work in a team
- Have strong leadership attitude
- Proactive
