**What You Will Do**:

- Creates, Secure and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production usage.
- Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases and performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
- Manage cloud engineering activities for the databases and would also drive automation activities.
- Responsible for all functions associated with the implementation and maintenance of the databases including security, back-up, logging, reporting and recovery procedures.
- Manage data from multiple sources including internal, external, and 3rd party data and assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency.
- Lead risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.

**Requirements**:

- Tech/B.E in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus
- 4+ Experience working with Databases (SQL and NOSQL).
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL)
- Experience in a cloud environment, preferably AWS and databases services on it like RDS, DynamoDB etc.
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with a programming language preferably Java/Go
- Good to have working knowledge of Postgres/MongoDB/Apache Cassandra.
- Most importantly - a reliable team player and a strong desire to learn
