**Responsibilities**:

- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with Mandarin-speaking suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's needs, considering market trends and supplier capabilities.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability, particularly in Mandarin-speaking markets.
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the logistics team to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about trends, pricing, and new suppliers in the Mandarin-speaking regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market conditions for management review.
- Work closely with other departments, such as finance and production, to align purchasing strategies with company goals.

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.

**Success in this role means meeting these goals**:

- Responsible for procuring goods and services, negotiating with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
- Managing relationships with suppliers in China or other Mandarin-speaking regions, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Developing effective procurement strategies and conducting market analysis for necessary products.
- Identifying and evaluating new suppliers in Mandarin-speaking markets, particularly for specific products.
- Overseeing shipping and supply chain management with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
- Managing and negotiating contracts with suppliers, including documentation in Mandarin.
- Overseeing a specific product category and collaborating with suppliers on optimal purchasing strategies.
