Job Summary:

To operate and monitor cooling tower and air compressor systems that support palm oil processing operations, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Role and Responsibilities

• Operate cooling tower and air compressor units according to daily production requirements and standard operating procedures.
• Regularly monitor system parameters such as temperature, pressure, water level, and airflow. Conduct routine inspections to detect abnormalities or potential issues.
• Assist in minor maintenance tasks such as filter cleaning, oil level checks, and belt adjustments. Report any major faults to the supervisor promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of operating conditions, maintenance activities, and any incidents or downtime.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment is operated in compliance with environmental and occupational health standards.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance teams and production staff to ensure smooth operation and timely response to any issues.
• Monitor water quality in the cooling tower system and report any irregularities to ensure proper chemical dosing and system longevity.

Job Success Requirements

• Minimum vocational school (SMK) or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience operating utilities equipment in palm oil or similar industrial setting
• Basic understanding of cooling tower and air compressor systems.
• Ability to read gauges, interpret readings, and follow SOPs.
• Willing to work in shifts and in mill environments.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
