The Role: Compliance Auditor - Remote

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Auditor to ensure our social networking platform adheres to internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. This role is essential to maintaining user trust, protecting data integrity, and supporting ethical operations across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits of internal processes, systems, and workflows to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Review content moderation practices, data handling procedures, and security controls to verify compliance with legal and platform requirements.
  • Identify gaps, risks, or non-compliant activities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor operational adherence to regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and other data privacy or safety standards relevant to social platforms.
  • Prepare clear audit reports summarizing findings, risk levels, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Trust & Safety, Security, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance requirements are embedded into policies and product designs.
  • Track remediation efforts and verify completion of corrective actions.
  • Support incident investigations involving compliance concerns or policy violations.
  • Stay updated on emerging regulations and industry trends affecting social networking services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk management, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of digital platform regulation, data privacy laws, and online safety requirements.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification such as CISA, CIA, CRMA, or similar is a plus.
