Owner Surveyor

Job Descriptions:

1. Ensure the operational progress of the Shipping Fleet regarding Machine Readiness, Maintenance and Repairs, especially in repairs at the shipyard

2. Coordinate the work of Crew, Mechanics, Electricians and Carpenters in each Fleet of Ships in the yard

3. Coordinate the fulfillment of Purchase Requests in the procurement of spare parts or ship repair/docking equipment needs in each Fleet

4. Review and approve requests from crew/vessels

5. Checking and monitoring the condition of ships in each fleet

6. Make plans for ship engine repairs

7. Carrying out and coordinating ship repairs with Purchasing, Port Engine, Crew Engine Mechanic Team and Electrician Team

8. Conduct regular reviews and reports regarding ship performance, damage and ship repairs to the operational team and leadership/superiors.

Job Qualifications:

1. Maximum age 45 years

2. Minimum education in Engineering (marine) or Engineering (ship mechanics)

3. Minimum of 3 years experience as an Owner Surveyor or Mechanical EngineerHave an understanding of various types of ship engines related to ship construction, docking and overhaul

4. Understand of how ship engines work

5. Have the ability to repair ships when docking or when the ship is operating

6. Have the ability to work using a computer to create reports using Microsoft Office, Autocad or Email

7. Have good leadership & communication skills and be able to make decisions

8. Willing and able to follow work orders to travel on duty anywhere throughout the shipyard area as required
