  • High School / D3 / S1 in Culinary Arts or related field (preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position (Hospitality / Café / Restaurant)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support kitchen staff.

  • Ensure every dish is prepared and presented in line with Bhumitirta's standards.

  • Train, mentor, and motivate the team to maintain high-quality food and service.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide clear, constructive feedback.

  • Assist in staff scheduling and ensure efficient labor allocation.

  • Prepare and cook food when required while maintaining consistency and excellence.

  • Monitor food preparation processes to ensure proper quality control.

  • Contribute to menu development and test new recipes with the Head Chef.

  • Manage kitchen inventory: monitor stock and assist in ordering supplies.

  • Maintain cost control for food usage, waste, and labor efficiency.

  • Conduct routine checks on ingredient quality and finished products.

  • Ensure full compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.

  • Support kitchen reporting: daily, weekly, and monthly operational updates.

  • Daily report & review operational data and propose improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.

Qualifications

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Sous Chef or similar role.

  • Strong cooking techniques and familiarity with various F&B equipment.

  • Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.

  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.

  • Able to work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP principles.

  • Creative, passionate, and detailed about food quality and consistency.

  • Reliable, proactive, and professional work attitude.

  • Good communication in English (spoken & written).

  • Comfortable using basic operational computer tools.

  • Willing to be based in Bali.
