Key Responsibilities

Bakery & Pastry Production

  • Prepare and produce pastries, cakes, croissants, doughs, scones, cookies, desserts, and artisan-style bakery items.
  • Ensure consistency of taste, texture, and product quality.
  • Handle dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, lamination, baking, and finishing.

Menu Development & Innovation

  • Develop new pastry and bakery items aligned with trends.
  • Innovate flavors using quality and healthier ingredients where needed.
  • Conduct recipe testing, trials, and refinement.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain daily production schedules and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Monitor ingredients, stock, and preparation needs.
  • Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards based on SOP.

Quality Standards

  • Ensure visual presentation meets the café's brand style.
  • Maintain product freshness, proper storage, and waste minimization.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in pastry, bakery, or artisan baking.
  • Strong skills in croissants, laminated dough, cakes, desserts, and pastry production.
  • Familiar with baking trends and creative flavor combinations.
  • Detail-oriented with high standards in presentation and hygiene.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Portfolio of previous work (photos) required.
