APR is looking for a skilled and experienced Modification Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and coordination of maintenance, modification, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, safety standards, and cross-departmental collaboration.

About the Role

The Modification Coordinator will oversee various aspects of project management, ensuring safety and efficiency in maintenance and modification projects.

Responsibilities

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

  • Support and guide the Modification Team in adhering to safety standards during maintenance activities.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols (PPE, task observation).
  • Conduct regular safety walks and risk assessments (HIRADC/JSA) to identify and improve safety conditions.

CAPEX & Major Modifications Planning & Implementation

  • Oversee the planning and execution of CAPEX and major modification projects, ensuring alignment with departmental and production schedules.
  • Guide the team on tool development and coordinate with suppliers for technical discussions.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure the achievement of quality, safety, and performance goals.
  • Implement standardized work instructions and ensure their execution across all projects.

Budget and Cost Control for CAPEX & MJR

  • Collaborate with the team to identify improvement projects that address safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.
  • Guide the preparation of project justifications, cost estimates, and ROI calculations.
  • Monitor the execution of approved projects, from design to commissioning, ensuring budget adherence.

Material & Inventory Control

  • Ensure project material lists are accurate and updated in SAP.
  • Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement to ensure availability of critical spares.
  • Review inventory management systems and control aging inventory to minimize waste.

Shutdown Planning, Execution, and Control

  • Assist in preparing shutdown schedules and coordinating with the maintenance and production departments to minimize downtime.
  • Track progress during shutdowns and conduct post-shutdown reviews to implement lessons learned.

Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging the team in generating improvement ideas and implementing them.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with KPIs.
  • Support the implementation of Just Do It (JDI) processes within the department.

Department ORM

  • Support the team in preparing Operational Risk Management (ORM) reports and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

People Development & Training

  • Map out skill matrices for team development and coordinate with training providers to address skill gaps.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
  • Prepare Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for direct reports and ensure their progress.

Scrap Management

  • Guide the team in identifying scrap materials and unused items, preparing justification for disposal, and obtaining necessary approvals.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth execution of projects and resolve any operational challenges.
  • Attend daily meetings to ensure alignment with production schedules and other departmental activities.

Coordination with Shift Personnel

  • Coordinate with shift engineers and technicians to manage breakdowns and critical maintenance requests.
  • Ensure the necessary resources (manpower, materials) are available for each job.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (S1 or equivalent).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record as a leader or coordinator in maintenance and modification projects.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct internal audits and manage SAP-based maintenance functions.
  • Strong knowledge of CAPEX, project planning, and execution.
  • Proficient in managing budgets, costs, and project timelines.
