Piping Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for piping systems including materials, labour, and equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare accurate estimates.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to obtain quotations and validate pricing.
• Support bid evaluations and cost comparisons for procurement decisions.
• Provide input for budgeting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Deliverables:

• Detailed piping cost estimates and breakdowns.
• Comparative cost analysis reports.
• Updated budget forecasts based on actual procurement data.
• Estimation summary reports for client review.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Piping Estimator or similar role in the construction industry
2. Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and construction methods
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address project challenges
5. Proficient in the use of cost estimating software and other relevant tools
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
7. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
