Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and modelling for new projects and expansions.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital investments specific to the mining sector.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, government financial bodies, and other key financial stakeholders.
- Operational Finance & Control:
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and tax (including Indonesian tax regulations and transfer pricing).
- Ensure robust internal controls and risk management frameworks are in place across all sites.
- Implement and manage ERP/Mining-specific financial systems to drive efficiency and data accuracy.
- Direct cost management strategies for mining operations, focusing on cost-per-ton metrics and operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure full compliance with all Indonesian financial regulations, PSAK/IFRS reporting standards, and mining-specific fiscal obligations (e.g., royalties, DMO).
- Serve as the key liaison for external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to the Board, shareholders, and government authorities.
- Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team across the Jakarta head office and remote site operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role (Finance Director, Head of Finance, or similar) within the mining, natural resources, or heavy industrial sectors.
- In-depth, proven experience with the financial complexities of mining in Indonesia (contracts of work, royalties, community development funds, government reporting).
- Expert knowledge of PSAK and IFRS, Indonesian tax law, and corporate governance.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and managing large-scale budgets).
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both written and spoken).
- Strong leadership presence with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly Desired:
- Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP in a mining/ project environment.
- Hands-on experience with mine planning software and its financial integration.
- Established network within the Indonesian financial and mining communities.
