About the role

Join the team at SKK Jewels' as an Assistant Refinery & Fire Assay Manager. In this position based in East Jakarta, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient and accurate operations of the company's refinery and fire assaying processes. What you'll be doing

  1. Assist in the supervision and coordination of the refinery and fire assaying operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and production targets
  2. Perform fire assays and other analytical testing to determine the precious metal content of materials
  3. Operate and maintain refinery equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  4. Analyse data, generate reports, and provide recommendations to improve processes and efficiency
  5. Train and mentor junior team members in refinery and fire assaying techniques
  6. Collaborate with other departments to address any issues or concerns related to the refinery and assaying functions
  7. Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or a related scientific field
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the jewellery, precious metals, or mining industry
  3. Proficient in fire assaying techniques and the use of related equipment
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues
  5. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
