Quality Assurance Manager

Job Role:

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA/QC function, oversee audits, maintain the quality management system, manage QC teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards across all production stages. This role requires strong analytical capability, structured problem solving, and leadership in implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Working Arrangement: On-site, Monday to Friday
• Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour break from 12:00 – 1:00 PM; Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with a 1.5-hour break from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Framework & System Management
• Design, implement, and refine quality management frameworks.
• Maintain and update SOPs and quality documents according to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Manage documentation for compliance, traceability, and audits.
• Team Leadership & Audit Oversight
• Supervise and develop QC teams and supervisors through coaching and training.
• Lead daily/weekly quality reviews and coordinate internal & external audits.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary teams to resolve quality deviations.
• Quality Control & Issue Resolution
• Monitor quality performance across all production stages, analyze data, and provide recommendations.
• Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure raw materials meet quality standards through close coordination with Supply Chain & Purchasing.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation
• Lead projects aimed at improving quality performance and introducing new technologies.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to validate new materials or processes.
• Review industry best practices and benchmark competitor performance.
• Customer Satisfaction & Reporting
• Handle customer complaints by investigating issues and ensuring resolution.
• Prepare detailed quality performance reports for presentation to GM Operations.
• Support annual management review with quality data and strategic recommendations.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, or related fields.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC or manufacturing quality roles, within the Manufacturing industry.
• Manufacturing in Biomass production (pellets, briquettes, coconut-based products), chemical, materials, powder processing, agriculture-based processing plants, light industrial production, charcoal briquette preferred.
• Quality systems, quality audits, and document control, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
• Leading QC teams and cross-functional improvement projects.
• Implementing or supporting ISO 9001 or other quality standards.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficient in ISO 9001 implementation and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, SPC, Six Sigma, and quality tools.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office and data tools (Minitab, Power BI, SAP, SPSS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Personal Qualities:
• Proven leadership in supervising QC teams.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail and structured documentation habits.
• Strong commitment to the company's core values.
• Work Location: Willing to be based full-time in Karanganyar after hired, and final offline interview at the factory or office in Semarang.
• Language Skills: Adequate level of English to understand technical terms.
