Upper School Social

Role Description

The Upper School consists of the Middle and High School Learning Neighbourhoods within the bigger Green School Bali community. With approximately 200 children across grades 6 to 12, our teaching teams deliver learning programs that are both fun and purposeful. We are looking for a thoughtful, experienced counsellor to administer social/emotional and behavioral support programmes.

To be competitive for this role this special person fulfills the following requirements.

Position Criteria

Demonstrated experience:

• on a Child Protection team (including managing procedures and trainings - alongside the other Counsellors and Leadership Team); 
• cultivating and facilitating consultations with neuropsychologists and external therapists as community resources; 
• facilitating professional development and training to faculty and parents in areas of specialty (eg: transitions, cultural adaptability, mentorship, etc.);
• being able to assess, monitor, record and report student psychological assessments;
• highly skilled communication of sensitive information (both verbally and in writing);  
• being willing to use expertise to support the admissions process to help ensure that Green School can meet the needs of the children enrolled.  
• driving the improvement and development of wellness programmes and curriculum for students and staff.  
• providing direct, responsive services to individuals as well as group counselling. 
• establishing and nurturing relationships with students, peers, parents, and the wider community.

Other Requirements (by Indonesian Law)

• Must hold at least a Bachelor degree in a field of counseling and/or education or psychology (with relevant counseling certifications) - with minimum 5-years experience.
• Must be able to pass a HIV test (legally required).
• Must not have any previous criminal convictions (legally required).
• Must not have any Child Protection concerns on file at previous schools or workplaces.
• Must be able to provide an original copy of certifications, transcripts, diploma and/or degrees (legally required).
• Any successful candidate must be willing to learn and communicate in Bahasa Indonesia.
