Role Overview:

One of our clients is looking for a Software Engineer, you'll be the brain behind crafting, developing, testing, launching, and maintaining scalable systems that power seamless payment experiences.

This role sits within the
Accept Payment Team
, which builds and enhances payment gateway and payment page — essential features enabling merchants and partners to integrate payment flows into their applications.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams — from Product and Design to Backend and Operations — to deliver secure, efficient, and high-performing systems that improve customer experience and drive adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable software systems for payment gateway and payment page
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver robust features on schedule
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with proper documentation and testing
  • Debug and resolve production issues across multiple services and layers of the stack
  • Participate in feature roadmap discussions and technical planning with the Product and Engineering teams
  • Ensure high system availability, performance, and data integrity across payment-related services
  • Continuously improve system design and architecture to support growth and scalability

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience
    as a Software Engineer or Backend Developer
  • Strong proficiency in
    PHP
    or
    Go
    ; experience with
    Yii2 Framework
    is a plus
  • Solid understanding of
    algorithms, OOP principles, design patterns
    , and
    clean code
    practices
  • Familiarity with
    payment systems
    ,
    payment gateways
    , or
    accounting systems
    is preferred
  • Experience handling
    large datasets
    and/or
    high-concurrency systems
    is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to solve complex performance issues
  • Comfortable working in agile environments and collaborating across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
