Freelance Quality Assurance

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance professional to join our growing team.

You won't just test the game — you will improve how we test the game.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys:

*Responsibilities

Testing & Validation*

• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, compatibility, and exploratory testing.
• Validate new features, gameplay systems, and bug fixes.
• Reproduce, document, and track bugs with clear and actionable details.
• Ensure features meet design intent and do not break existing systems.

*Documentation & Test Assets*

• Create, maintain, and improve test cases, and QA documentation.
• Identify missing coverage and propose additional test scenarios.
• Keep testing documentation clean, organized, and up to date.

*Process Improvement*

• Evaluate existing QA workflows and propose improvements or new tools.
• Streamline testing processes to reduce friction and increase efficiency.
• Help establish QA best practices and testing standards across the team.
• Take initiative to solve problems without waiting for instructions.

*Collaboration*

• Work closely with developers to ensure quality for the product.
• Provide clear feedback for improvements and potential risks.
• Communicate blockers, priorities, and quality concerns effectively.

*Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications*

• 2+ years of QA experience in the video game industry.
• Strong understanding of game development pipelines.
• Ability to identify, isolate, and document bugs with high clarity.
• Experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Ability to write clear test cases and scenarios.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset: not just finding issues, but improving the way we test.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

*Pluses:*

• Experience in Game Engine.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies (risk-based testing, exploratory testing, regression strategy).
• Experience mentoring junior testers or helping standardize QA processes.
• Passion for games and understanding of player experience.
