The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester to join their banking project team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in test automation for web, mobile, and API testing, and who is passionate about improving quality through efficient, scalable testing frameworks and processes.
 
The Responsibilities
  • Lead automation testing for new features across various testing life cycles, ensuring reliability and performance for web, mobile, and API functionalities.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools and frameworks like Selenium WebDriver (Java), Cypress (JavaScript/TypeScript), and mobile automation tools.
  • Utilize and apply a range of testing methodologies, covering test levels, static and dynamic testing.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, independently driving the testing process to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Document test results and provide actionable insights to development teams, contributing to continuous improvement in the development cycle.
 
The Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years in software testing, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to test automation for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with a range of testing frameworks and tools, including Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, and Postman for API testing. Experience in Java or JavaScript/TypeScript is highly preferred.
  • Tools & Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with tools like QTest, JIRA, Confluence, and others for project management and documentation.
  • Methodologies: In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to document and explain technical details effectively.
