Practice Area

BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group's existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

We support our clients' total digital transformation through technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. And together with BCG, BCG Platinion's interdisciplinary team of technical experts enable customized technical solutions and accelerate delivery value through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

What You'll Do

Role Overview

As a Lead/Principal Consultant in Technology Advisory & Delivery with BCG Platinion, you will shape and drive the digital and technology agendas of leading organizations across Southeast Asia. Building on deep technical and consulting experience, you will work alongside senior consultants, architects, and BCG case teams to lead complex technology transformations, define IT strategies, and deliver large-scale digital solutions across industries.

At this level, you will operate as a senior technology leader and trusted advisor, balancing strategic problem-solving with hands-on technical leadership, while contributing to people development, chapter capability building, and firm growth.

Your Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership & Advisory

• Lead the design and implementation of technology strategies and digital solutions, ensuring clear alignment with client business objectives

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, influencing technology direction, investment decisions, and transformation priorities

• Translate business strategy into scalable technology and delivery roadmaps, balancing ambition, risk, and feasibility

Architecture & Solution Leadership

• Lead the analysis, assessment, and optimization of complex IT architectures (enterprise, solution, data, cloud), ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability

• Define target-state architectures and transition roadmaps across multiple initiatives and systems

• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of functional and technical solutions across the full value chain

• Provide architectural guidance and governance across vendors, platforms, and delivery teams

Delivery & Program Ownership

• Own and steer major project or program workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery, effective risk management, and alignment with timelines and expectations

• Guide software and vendor selection processes, enterprise and solution architecture discussions, and implementation decisions

• Intervene proactively to resolve complex delivery, architectural, or stakeholder challenges

Team, Chapter & Firm Contribution

• Lead, coach, and mentor consultants and architects, building high-performing, diverse teams within the TAD chapter

• Contribute to chapter capability building, including playbooks, accelerators, reusable assets, and best practices

• Support business development and presales activities, including proposal shaping, solution design, and senior client presentations

• Stay at the forefront of digital and technology trends, bringing innovative perspectives to clients and strengthening BCG Platinion's thought leadership

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in IT consulting, technology advisory, digital transformation, and/or relevant industry roles

• Proven experience leading complex technology advisory and delivery engagements in enterprise environments

• Deep expertise in one or more architecture domains, with the ability to operate at enterprise scale:

  • Enterprise, solution, application, data, cloud, or platform architecture

• Strong ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes, shaping executive-level conversations

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and solve ambiguous, high-stakes problems

• Exceptional communication, storylining, and client-facing consulting skills

• Strategic mindset with senior presence and professional gravitas when engaging executives

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

• Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, PhD) and/or relevant architecture or cloud certifications are advantageous

• Flexibility and willingness to travel within the Southeast Asia / Asia-Pacific region

• More experienced candidates may be considered for appointment at the Principal Consultant, Technology Advisory & Delivery level.
