Senior Associate / Lead – Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)

In the past 7 months, we have expanded three stores fully bootstrapped. With volume expected to grow significantly in the coming quarters, we are strengthening our core operations by hiring an experienced
QA/QC Senior Associate / Lead
to safeguard quality, consistency, and operational discipline as we scale.

This role sits at the intersection of
production, quality, and reporting
. You will be close to the floor, close to the data, and close to decision-making.

Your Impact

As the QA/QC Senior Associate / Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that increasing volume never comes at the expense of customer trust.

You will:

  • Own end-to-end quality assurance and quality control across production
  • Detect quality risks early and resolve root causes before issues reach customers
  • Help design, refine, and enforce SOPs as operations scale
  • Build reporting that gives management real visibility into quality and production performance
  • Train and elevate production staff to meet premium standards consistently
  • This is a
    hands-on leadership role
    , not a desk-only position.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily QC checks on incoming, in-process, and finished items

Identify defects, rewash risks, fabric damage risks, and inconsistency patterns

Make real-time go/no-go decisions on production batches

Track and report:

  • Rewash rates
  • Defect categories
  • Turnaround time
  • Customer complaints and root causes

Develop and improve SOPs

Prepare weekly quality and production reports using Excel and internal tools

Collaborate with operations to improve workflow, load planning, and efficiency

Train staff on quality standards, handling methods, and error prevention

Act as the final quality gate before items are released to customers

Minimum Requirements

3–7 years of hands-on experience in:

Laundry production, dry cleaning, hotel laundry, garment factory, or industrial cleaning

Strong understanding of:

  • Fabric types and handling
  • Stain treatment and damage prevention
  • High-volume production environments
  • Proficient in both English and Bahasa

Tech-savvy and comfortable with reporting

  • Proficient in
    Excel
    (basic formulas, tables, summaries)
  • Comfortable using
    PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Able to learn and use operational systems (e.g. Smartlink)
  • Able to learn quickly

Able to translate floor-level issues into clear reports and insights

Detail-oriented, disciplined, and calm under pressure

Comfortable working on-site and close to production

Nice to Have

Experience setting up QC processes or SOPs

Experience managing or mentoring junior staff

Exposure to Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement practices

Experience working across multiple locations
