Role Description

This is an on-site contract role for a Back End Consultant located in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. The Back End Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. Daily tasks involve collaborating with front-end developers, analyzing and resolving technical issues, optimizing application performance, and ensuring the security and integrity of backend infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions using Java and related technologies
  • Design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and software engineering principles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, and continuously improve the codebase
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure the quality and reliability of the software
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to enhance the development process
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience as a Java Developer, with a strong understanding of Java programming language and Spring Boot framework
  • Proficiency in designing and developing Java-based applications, including experience with web services, databases, and integration with other systems
  • Proven experience in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, with a focus on best practices and software engineering principles
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willing to work in Jakarta (Working in Office)
