Role Overview

As a Treasury Associate, you will play a key role in supporting Pluang's treasury operations, contributing to both day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives. This role involves managing cash positions, supporting daily funding requirements, overseeing fiat and digital asset portfolios, and engaging in investment and partnership activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is eager to grow their career in treasury management.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Flow & Operational Management:

• Assist in monitoring daily cash balances and liquidity levels to ensure sufficient funding for operations.
• Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts, identifying potential liquidity risk and opportunities.
• Assist in reconciliation of payments and transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Help maintain accurate records in treasury systems, supporting month-end closing and reporting.

Risk Management and Reporting:

• Monitor and manage market risk across various products, maintaining exposure within the risk acceptable threshold.
• Execute hedging strategies in adherence with internal policies and risk appetite.
• Maintain and update SOPs to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
• Prepare regular reports on cash flow, investments, and liquidity for management review.

Process Automation & Improvement:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of treasury system enhancements, process automation and internal control improvements.
• Develop and maintain automated workflows for daily cash management, reconciliation processes, and regulatory reporting using treasury management systems and business intelligence tools.
• Design automated alerts and monitoring systems for liquidity thresholds, risk limits, and operational exceptions to ensure timely management intervention.
• Continuously evaluate emerging tools and technologies that could further enhance treasury operation efficiency.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

• Help in maintaining relationships with banking partners and other financial institutions.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams (e.g. finance, product, partnerships, customer operations) to support project activities/new product launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-3 years' experience in treasury, finance, or a related role within the financial services industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Programming skills in SQL for database querying and data analysis; experience with Python or R for financial modeling and automation is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of ALM, liquidity management, and investment concepts.
• Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with treasury management systems is a plus.
• An interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital asset management is advantageous.
