Cost Engineer

KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Cost Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Cost Engineer will implement all routine cost reports, regularly review cost reports with budget holders to ensure understanding, update estimates, and discuss problem areas.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, forecast, control, and report project costs
  • Implement all routine cost reports, regularly review cost reports with budget holders to ensure understanding, update estimates, and discuss problem areas
  • Support financial processes as required, including contract progress invoicing, payments, cash flows, etc.
  • Provide project variances, trending, analysis of expenditures, and completion reports
  • Review project costs incurred by category, calculate future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates, and risk analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management or related field
  • 4 + years of cost management experience including at least 2 years of experience within Oil and Gas / LNG
  • Strong knowledge of cost budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, and cost performance indicators

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ERP systems
