Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mechanical systems.
  • Ensure timely execution of repairs and servicing of equipment.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
  • Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
  • Apply engineering principles to solve practical problems in plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, MSDS).
  • Assist in planning and execution of mechanical projects and upgrades.
  • Support commissioning and decommissioning of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
  • Analyze maintenance data to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on equipment performance and maintenance KPIs.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Participate in risk assessments and incident investigations.

Requirement & Qualification:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering in a chemical or continous process industry. (Fatty Alcohol/ Fatty Acid/ Methylester Plant).
  3. Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, piping systems, and pressure vessels.
  4. Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM), reliability tools (RCM, FMEA), and industry codes (ASME, API).
  5. Leadership experience with proven ability to manage teams and projects.
