Transportation Supervisor

About the role

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinate the efficient, cost-effective and on time delivery of finish goods to end users or inter-warehouses.

This full time position will be based in Cibitung, MM2100 and directly report to Transport & Planning Manager.

What you'll be doing

• Plan & Optimize the most efficient and cost-effective routes, modes of transport, and schedules for outbound and inbound shipments.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with various transport providers.
• Coordinate & monitoring shipment of goods and ensuring the correct shipping documentation is prepared and matched to the load and adhere to shipping regulations.
• Coordinate with related parties & handling communication for delays or issues.
• Control delivery ticket and checking invoices for accuracy against contracted rates.
• Lead the team in line with Leadership Expectations and tools to develop, coach, and guide its members to ensure a workforce that is competent, engaged, and enabled to meet Jotun's current and future needs
• Ensure that internal and external HSEQ requirements are followed.

What we're looking for

• University background with minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or logistic supervisory role, preferably in the manufacturing or distribution industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of transportation or shipment operations, supply chain processes and HSEQ regulation
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems, transportation tracking and data analysis, ERP & Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English & Bahasa Indonesia
• Able to work in shifting system if necessary
• A passion for continuous improvement and a customer-centric mindset
