Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end planning, design, integration, and optimization of EPC/5GC core network elements (MME/AMF, SGW/UPF, PGW/SMF, HSS/UDM, PCRF/PCF, DNS, IMS, DRA, OCS/OFCS).
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex service issues related to signaling failures, bearer setup, QoS, latency, congestion, and inter-operator connectivity.
  • Conduct packet-level analysis (Wireshark, PCAP, GTP/SCTP/TCP/UDP inspection) to identify root causes across data, VoLTE, VoNR, and OTT services.
  • Analyze network KPIs/KQIs and drive performance optimization (latency, throughput, attach and bearer success, retransmissions, packet loss, jitter).
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations for improving customer experience, capacity planning, and QoS policies.
  • Lead high-priority incident response and ensure clear communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Validate and optimize QoS, DSCP, QCI/5QI, APN/DNN, and policy-control mapping across RAN–Transport–Core.
  • Conduct configuration compliance reviews and audits within multi-vendor infrastructure.
  • Support 5G SA/NSA expansion covering slicing, MEC integration, UPF distribution, and SMF-UPF anchoring strategies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to work under pressure with fast response in critical situations.
  • Strong expertise in EPC/5GC architecture, protocols, and call flows:

    S1AP, GTP-C/U, PFCP, NGAP, HTTP/2, Diameter, SIP, DNS, SCTP
  • Proven hands-on skill in Wireshark, PCAP analysis, protocol decoding, KPI dashboards, OSS tools.
  • Strong knowledge of QoS frameworks: QCI, 5QI, ARP, DSCP, GBR/Non-GBR, PCC/PCF rules.
  • Experience with IP/MPLS and routing fundamentals: MPLS, BGP, OSPF, Segment Routing, IP Planning.
  • Excellent analytical skills to correlate KPI/KQI behavior with network events and log traces.
  • Strong problem-solving capability and ability to handle multi-domain complexity independently.
  • Excellent communication & leadership for cross-team collaboration (RAN, Transport, VAS, IT, Operations).
  • Able to mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions.
  • Structured documentation and reporting discipline.
