Resource Geologist

Position Title: Resource Geologist

Location: Guyana, South America

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Geologist to join our exploration and mining operations in Guyana. The successful candidate will be responsible for geological data management, 3D resource modeling, and continuous resource model updates to support mine planning and reporting. This position requires strong technical proficiency in geological modeling software and excellent attention to data integrity and geological interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

Build, update, and validate 3D geological and resource models using Leapfrog, Micromine, and Surpac.

Manage and maintain geological and assay databases in Fusion, ensuring data quality, integrity, and traceability.

Integrate geological, geotechnical, and geochemical data to improve resource interpretation and estimation accuracy.

Prepare resource estimation inputs and assist in producing compliant Mineral Resource statements.

Collaborate with exploration, mine geology, and planning teams to ensure accurate geological representation in mine design and production.

Generate geological maps, cross-sections, and data visualizations using QGIS and other GIS tools.

Support QA/QC programs, drillhole data validation, and continuous improvement in data management workflows.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in resource geology or geological modeling, preferably in mining operations.

Proficiency in Leapfrog, Fusion, QGIS, Micromine, and Surpac.

Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in international or multicultural mining projects is an asset.

Good communication skills in English; Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage.
