PT SMART Tbk's (SMART's) is the biggest palm oil plantation company in the world. We approximately 137,000 hectares (including smallholder farmers). Our primary activities range from cultivating and harvesting oil palm trees, extracting fresh fruit bunches (FFBs) into crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel (PK), to processing it into industrial and consumer products such as cooking oil, margarine, shortening, biodiesel, and oleochemicals, as well as merchandising the palm products throughout the world.

We are looking for our future leaders as Refinery Controller to manage the plant's financial hygiene and be a business partner to all related stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations of the plant that includes financial planning, budgeting, cost accounting, inventory management, and reporting to ensure plant profitability and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Prepare monthly closings, variance analysis, and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions
  • Manage cost and inventory; continuously improve the standard costing processes
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances (e.g., PPV, scrap, labor efficiency)
  • Act as a key financial partner to related stakeholders from operations team, supply chain team, and procurement
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and other corporate policies

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 7-10 years of work experience in a manufacturing plant is a must
  • Willing to be placed outside of Jakarta is a must
  • Adept in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, willing to grow
  • CMA would be a plus
