Job Description

  1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies (short-term and long-term) to ensure cost efficiency and availability of required goods and services.

2.Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase requisition to delivery and payment.

3.Ensure vendor/supplier selection is conducted objectively, transparently, and in accordance with company standards.

4.Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract conditions with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.

5.Assess and evaluate supplier performance regularly based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.

6.Collaborate with other departments such as Production, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely fulfillment.

7.Supervise and manage the purchasing team, including task delegation, training, and employee development.

8.Monitor and control the purchasing budget to ensure efficiency and compliance with cost targets.

9.Develop and update purchasing policies and procedures to align with current regulations and company needs.

10.Maintain accurate and organized purchasing records and documentation, both physically and in ERP or computerized systems

Requirement

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as manager in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.

  2. Experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment; FMCG manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

  3. Proven track record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost control to optimize purchasing efficiency and supplier terms.

  4. Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for managing procurement processes and data tracking.

  5. Background in supplier performance evaluation and risk management to ensure reliability and minimize supply chain disruptions.

  6. Cross-functional collaboration experience with departments such as finance, warehouse, production, and operations to align purchasing with company needs.

  7. Proficiency in purchasing systems and software such as ERP.

  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for creating price comparisons, purchase orders, and reports).

  9. Ability to negotiate prices, contracts, and purchase terms.

  10. Knowledge of vendor management and supply chain.

  11. Good multitasking and time management skills.

  12. Able to work both in a team and independently.

  13. Proficient in English, ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
