Netzme is looking for a Data Engineer to help us build and scale our data foundation. You'll work on designing reliable data pipelines, improving database performance, and collaborating closely with engineering and analytics teams to make data accessible and impactful. If you enjoy building things from scratch, moving fast, and taking ownership in a growing startup, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Develop data models using dbt (data build tool).
  • Optimize query performance across various database systems.
  • Implement and manage ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and other data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data system performance.
  • Maintain documentation for data pipelines, architecture, and data models.

Required :

  • Strong proficiency in SQL with solid knowledge of query optimization.
  • Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, and data architecture fundamentals.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Experience working with OLAP databases such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Experience building data pipelines using programming languages or workflow orchestration tools.
  • Understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and standard data engineering best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with ClickHouse (DDL/DML, partitioning) is a plus.
  • Experience using Dagster is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced Python skills (functions, modules, best practices) are a plus.
  • Experience using dbt (modeling, macros, incremental models) is a plus.
