Trucking Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trucking Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Sumisho Global Logistics Indonesia. In this full-time position based in South Cikarang, West Java, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our fleet operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of goods for our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our trucking fleet, including scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring
2. Oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and road-worthy
3. Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet utilisation and reduce operational costs
4. Analyse data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement in our logistics operations
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the integration of transportation services with other logistics activities
7. Mentor and develop the trucking team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar trucking or fleet management role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
2. Thorough understanding of fleet management principles, including vehicle maintenance, routing, and performance optimisation
3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team
5. Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting, with the ability to use relevant software and tools
6. Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards in the transportation industry
7. Degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred
