About the company
Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a Bandung-based sportswear manufacturer established in 2013. The company specializes in producing a wide range of athletic apparel, including baselayers, wetsuits, swimwear, sport hijabs, leggings, and compression tops. Known for its commitment to quality, the company uses carefully selected materials, and its products are widely trusted by national athletes across various sports disciplines in Indonesia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design Concept & Collection Development: Create design directions and seasonal collections aligned with the brand's identity—performance-driven, stylish, and proudly Indonesian. Translate market insights and runner lifestyles into functional, relevant products.
  • Trend Research & Material Innovation: Conduct research on global sportswear trends and textile technologies (e.g., dry-fit, breathable, compression, reflective fabrics). Collaborate with R&D and garment vendors to source innovative, performance-friendly materials.
  • Product Development: Produce sketches, tech packs, and detailed specifications for mass production. Coordinate with production, merchandising, and QC teams during sampling and fitting to ensure quality standards in aesthetics, function, and comfort.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Guide junior designers and graphic designers to maintain brand consistency. Work closely with marketing and brand teams to translate design concepts into impactful visual campaigns. Contribute to signature lines, collaboration series, and community collections.
  • Innovation & Brand Identity: Ensure every design reflects the brand's sporty, bold, and modern character. Drive the creation of benchmark-worthy products in the local sportswear industry.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Product Design
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion, with at least 2 years in sportswear or activewear
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CLO 3D
  • Strong understanding of performance fabrics such as polyester, nylon, spandex, mesh, and reflective materials
  • Visionary and functional design style with sensitivity to sports trends and urban lifestyles
  • Fast-paced, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays
  • Placement: Bandung
