About the role

Join PT. Safround Logistics Indonesia as a Custom Broker, a crucial role in our Import/Export & Customs division. As a Custom Broker, you will be responsible for navigating the complexities of customs regulations and procedures to facilitate the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders. This full-time position is based in our South Jakarta, Jakarta office.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and submit all necessary customs documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  2. Liaise with customs authorities and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or queries that arise
  3. Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on customs-related matters, helping them to minimise delays and maximise cost savings
  4. Stay up-to-date with changes in customs laws, regulations and policies, and adapt procedures accordingly
  5. Collaborate with the broader logistics team to ensure a seamless and coordinated approach to import and export activities
  6. Maintain detailed records and generate reports to track the progress and performance of customs-related processes

What we're looking for

  1. Must have PPJK Certification
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Custom Broker or in a similar customs-related role
  3. Thorough understanding of customs laws, regulations and procedures, both locally and internationally
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with customs authorities and clients
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex customs-related issues
  6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  7. Proficiency in using relevant customs software and IT systems
  8. Relevant qualifications or certifications in customs, logistics or a related field would be an advantage
