Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL Server and a strong understanding of stored procedures, views, and query optimization
  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and its SQL dialect
  • Experience building and managing workflows in Apache Airflow
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
  • Familiarity with Sling for deployment/config management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Quick to learn, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert stored procedures, views, and SQL queries from SQL Server into BigQuery-compatible syntax
  • Analyze existing data workflows to recreate logic and dependencies within BigQuery + Airflow
  • Build and maintain Airflow DAGs for orchestrating migrated tasks
  • Use Sling and Python to support orchestration, automation, or configuration as needed
  • Create clear and structured documentation for every migrated flow or task
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth transition and data integrity
