HCIS Payroll Implementor
to manage and execute the deployment of our Human Capital Information System (HCIS) with a specialized focus on the payroll module. This role is critical for standardizing and optimizing payroll processes across all our business units.
Job Summary
The HCIS Payroll Implementor will play a critical role in the successful deployment, configuration, and testing of the payroll module within our Human Capital Information System (HCIS). You will act as the subject matter expert on payroll integration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all group company verticals.
Key Responsibilities
System Implementation and Configuration
Lead the planning, design, and configuration of the HCIS payroll module, ensuring it meets the statutory and business requirements of all group companies.
Map and standardize existing payroll processes (e.g., compensation, deductions, taxes, benefits) into the new HCIS platform.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
Work closely with HR, Finance, and business vertical heads to gather detailed payroll-specific requirements and translate them into system design specifications.
Identify and document any necessary customizations or integrations with external financial systems.
Data Migration and Validation
Manage the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of historical and current payroll data from legacy systems into the new HCIS.
Conduct rigorous parallel payroll runs and validation testing to ensure data accuracy and system integrity before go-live.
Testing, Training, and Support
Develop and execute comprehensive unit, integration, and user acceptance test (UAT) scripts specifically for the payroll function.
Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for HR and Finance end-users on the new payroll system.
Compliance and Best Practices
Ensure the implemented payroll module adheres to all local, state, and federal labor laws and tax regulations.
Maintain documentation of the system configuration, interfaces, and process flows.
Post-Implementation Support
Provide immediate post-go-live support to troubleshoot and resolve any payroll-related system issues.
- Work with technical teams to optimize system performance and ensure stability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in implementing or configuring a major Human Capital Information System (HCIS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) payroll module
(e.g., SAP HCM Payroll, Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, Workday Payroll, or similar). - Strong functional knowledge of complex payroll processes, labor laws, and tax implications.
- Proven experience in data migration and reconciliation for payroll.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-country or multi-entity payroll implementations.
- Certification in a relevant HCIS platform (e.g., Workday HCM, SAP HCM).
- Familiarity with integration technologies and data security protocols for sensitive payroll information.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction and reporting.
