Placement: Sulawesi Utara

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience managing large-scale commercial plantations.
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Forestry, Plantation Management, or a related field.
• A Master's degree in Agribusiness or Plantation Management is a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated success in setting up new plantations from scratch is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to oversee large field operations.
• Strong understanding of agronomy and plantation management (experience with vanilla is not required, training will be provided).
• Willingness to be based full-time in North Sulawesi.
• Preferred but not required: knowledge of tropical spice crops such as clove, nutmeg, or cinnamon.
• Practical problem-solving skills, hands-on mindset, and ability to deliver results under challenging field conditions.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

• Lead the establishment and development of a commercial vanilla plantation (50–200 hectares).
• Manage all phases of plantation development: land preparation, planting, maintenance, harvest, and post-harvest.
• Design and implement crop rotation schedules and long-term productivity plans.
• Recruit, train, and manage a plantation workforce.
• Oversee farm infrastructure development (irrigation, access, shade trees, drainage, etc.).
• Ensure high-yield, sustainable farming practices and compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor crop health, pests, and disease control.
• Manage the plantation budget, inputs, and expenses with strict cost efficiency.
• Report on progress and coordinate closely with head office management.
• Build systems and processes to support long-term commercial success of the plantation.
